Thanks! I have a website www.ktbphotography.ca, but I really don't update it enough, especially since I'm back in school these days... and an old flickr that I don't use anymore either lol, so there's only old stuff on there now.

and now I'm doing a project on cars, so it'll probably be a while before I really update anything else lol (Also I'm looking for nice cars if anyone has one and wants free photos of it...)

First you post someone elses photos without giving credit, don't apologize about it... then you decide on your own to go against the one and only rule of this thread... Hm.

He didn't just post it with no credit, he misrepresented it as being his own...an offensive act akin to plagiarism. You like to quote bible verses jags, how about "Thou shalt not steal?"

Great photography from everyone. Pics. #6, 47, 88 look like impressionist paintings as the way they have been taken there is a softness about them.

^ Hi Iano. Is this your shot? You'll notice that Jags got quite lambasted when it was determined he posted a picture that was not his.

This is "The one shot (of Edmonton) by you per day" thread ... maybe your picture would be better in the YEG thread?

My intention was a post by you, not necessarily a photo you took.

I thought it would be a good repository for shots we come across and of course if taken personally even better, but basically great shots you find.

Thanks for the clarification... though I still prefer what I thought it was intended for... we should try to credit the person who took the picture then, if we are not submitting our own work...

and your link doesn't seem to work on that... nor does it meet the requirements from flickr to use that photo.

It meets requirements for linking the source and the photo has the photographer watermarked.

But yes, personal shots are preferred.

Your link doesn't take you back...

"Do link back to Flickr when you post your Flickr content elsewhere.
Flickr makes it possible to post content hosted on Flickr to other web sites. However, pages on other web sites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr. This provides a way to get more information about the content and the photographer."

ie: when I click the link below the photo, it should take me to the webpage that shows the picture, not the address of the picture.

The image quality may be a little off as this was taken from inside the aircraft with a Samsung Tab 2. I thought the tower was to be white so perhaps there will be more changes to it.

White or not, that's f'n awesome. And I don't care how well it may or may not match the rest of the terminal's architecture. Thanks for that pic.

Even more impressive is the inside of the airport. It's been a constant construction project (not a bad thing) but the results are impressive. Other airports may have updated too but I was at both Vancouver and Ottawa's airports recently and in both cases there was very little choice as to where to eat once you go through security. Actually I think Vancouver only had Milestones and Starbucks and Ottawa had only one place as well. When people leave Edmonton they are treated to several places to eat and shop. There are also plugin's to charge up devices (years ago in Toronto I had to unplug one of those electric cars so that I could run my laptop).

Sadly, dinning and shopping are normally only of benefit to those who visit the city, not those who live here. But regardless, I'm glad our airport has become one of the nicest the in country.

Was this photo taken in the little greenbelt next to Strathearn Crescent, over looking 98 avenue as it comes up the hill to the traffic circle? I saw the Canada Day fireworks there a while back, but never thought of it for New Year's Eve. It's a good spot with no buildings in the way; it would be a good spot to drive to and from if its a cold night and my wife and I don't feel like walking. Great shot, and great other shots from New Years to the other posters! Plus nice shots to everyone else who posted one on this thread

Thanks SDM, that is very kind. I am still waiting for them to phone me

Ustauk, that is exactly where I was. I was right in the square the last three NYEs, and wanted to try something different this year. Looking at some of my previous skyline shots I thought that the fireworks would burst in the gap between Epcor/CN Tower and the rest of the skyline at this location. They were pretty close to what I thought, but as seen they actually burst directly in front of Epcor from this location.

Thanks Bulliver, yeah it was shot from the City Centre east Parkade, which isn't actually as good as a view as I had hoped cause the adjacent buildings cut you off a bit lol. I'm surprised security didn't kick us out because apparently there was some fight up there just before I got there and I thought they were going to clear everyone out haha, so I guess I got a bit lucky.

Shows how dense the city is at the core, and then it seems to get less dence as it moves outwards, not sure if that's sad or awesome. But crazy detail non the less!
