That looks really nice. Definitely a step away from the stereotype look of stores that the general public expect to see.

The first and original Earls has been sitting vacant and neglected for a while now.

I believe that the lands to the north of this were purchased by Cidex, but this remains an Allard property.

I asked about the Green Moustache on a couple of posts on this thread, thanks.

Sounds like Green Moustache is a vegie smoothie drink health type thing. In conjunction with the Yoga place adjacent too it. Looks like they could be one and the same company?

Where in Edmonton Tower would this be? The patio confuses me as I cant think of where it could go unless its right along 101 Street next to RBC or on the west side sandwiched in between Boston Pizza and Cacao 70.

Royal Pizza has shutdown, with signs saying their Hys location is their nearest.
Three Amigos and The Hat were devoid of life.
Still no movement with Days Inn's leased space.
Crunch Fitness in the former World Health Jasper Ave should be opening at the end of the month.

In a somewhat related note, Pizza Pizza is getting rid of all their order taking reps in their new Edmonton office. All order taking by phone will be done from people that work from home but you can still order direct from Pizza 73 for a pick up, that's still ok.

Yeah, sorry about Royal. But, Cosmic looks ready to finally open.

Seems DT folks don't really want take-away - more sit down.

Unless, of course, it's one of the ubiquitous Subways that dot every intersection ....

I was told sales have been sliding for awhile. They lost their old manager and I think he helped fill the bar with the crowd they were going for. Also, opening up 'Barcade' probably took a lot of their gamer crowd.

Could this pave the way to take the concept they wanted for the Fox tower and move it into that space?

I had been in touch with Urban Sparq about a year ago. At that time they were looking to update the concept for Denizen. My guess is a rebranding of sorts.

Construction has made 103 and 103 an unholy mess, even for pedestrians. At the same size, be happy with it at Fox.

Dickens Fest Makes Its Way to Edmonton

by BWW News Desk Sep. 20, 2018
    Tweet

    Share

A much-beloved European Christmas tradition is coming to Edmonton. Dickens Fest Edmonton is a new festival that builds on Edmonton's exuberant embrace of its status as a Winter City. The inaugural Dickens Fest Edmonton will take place inside the Citadel Theatre November 30 to December 2, 2018.

Using the popular Dickens Fest in Deventer, The Netherlands, as inspiration, a small group of community builders and enthusiasts are working with the Citadel Theatre to build a spectacular winter festival in the heart of downtown Edmonton.

The founding committee of Dickens Fest Edmonton is working with the Citadel this winter to build a strong festive centre in the heart of downtown, with the theatre hosting Christmas teas, a 19th century Christmas dinner, and a street market in the Citadel's large central corridor, as well as a dazzling display in the theatre's iconic Lee Pavilion.

Tried them last night - not bad. Not amazing. Does the job.

Love their hours though (11-3AM on Thu/Fri/Sat) . I hope they can make a go of it. Tough location with tough rents.

But it's uncanny how quiet it gets on 104th at night. The residential towers are lit up. People are there, but few venture down... cosmic betting big on the event crowds.

DOSC has very late hours as well on weekends and even open until midnight on weekdays but its mostly dead after 9PM. Seems like we still have quite a ways to go before reaching critical mass to support some of these late night options downtown.

How do we achieve that when the President of DECL
