A little late this year with the thread, I know. Here's a summary so far: The big off season news was power hitter Encarnacion was traded to the Indians, pitcher R.A. Dickey is gone and a few fielders made the move. The team had a disastrous start in April after acquiring last place in baseball in preseason, hit with the injury bug in a big way and a month into the season had last place in the division all wrapped up to themselves. Come the end of May their fortunes had started changing with Donaldson & Tulo finally in the starting lineup, the pitching improved and Superman Kevin Pillar making some fantastic catches. Oh, and who can forget about Justin Smoak who's already at 20 homers. Encarnacion who?

As is stands right now on June 23 they are 5 games back of the tied Yankee's & Red Sox... it's turning out to be another tight division, as almost usual. I'm pleasantly surprised that they're only 5 games back, a few weeks ago it looked like it was about to slip away when they briefly went to 8. On the 27th they start a 9 game divisional run against Orioles, Red Sox & then Yanks. Them are going to be some big 9 games as it can easily make or break a season, even with lots of baseball left.

Go Jays!
