    Default Connectivity - 105 Ave - Sept 30, 2017

    What is the Connectivity event?

Connectivity is a lecture, a workshop, and a wayfinding walk designed to engage the Edmonton public on their opinions on the state of our communities with regard to health and well-being, and an exploration of how we can increase positive connections within our city.

These events will be facilitated by Dr. Karen Lee, a global specialist in healthy built environments and social determinants of health (www.drkarenlee.com). Dr. Lee will lead a conversation about how to create a healthy, walkable, connected city, and discuss case studies of feasible and low-cost solutions. The day’s activities will use the 105th Avenue corridor as a case study to explore how Edmonton's mature neighbourhoods can flourish as vibrant, walkable, healthy communities.

Regrettably Top_Dawg has a scheduling conflict.

Take notes and brief Top_Dawg Monday morning.

    Cheers and good wayfinding.

Thanks for the info, IanO. As a dedicated walker, I'll try to make it for the Saturday morning lecture.

Is this supposed to be an example of what not to do?

Start with this detour here: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54871...7i13312!8i6656
    Then take the alley: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54837...7i13312!8i6656
    Then another offset: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54811...7i13312!8i6656
Then get diverted to the wrong side of the tracks: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54783...7i13312!8i6656
Which you later need to cross at grade: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54786...7i13312!8i6656
Things are OK for a while after that, but you eventually run into a dead end: https://www.google.ca/maps/@53.54826...7i13312!8i6656
