I think the lights downtown are great! I think it would be great to see the Muttart Conservatory pyramids re-lit.

Another potential location: Art Gallery of Alberta. The lights could reflect off the Northern Lights to simulate northern lights.

The Muttart has been lit up for years now.
I am most looking forward to seeing what they come up with for the Stantec tower. They showed a brief sample near the end of the piece and briefly discussed their plans.

My bad, I guess I didn't have a good look at the Muttart.

I think red LED lights around Canada Place might be cool.

^while it looks all nice and pretty, there have been some interesting articles recently, that while LED was supposed to reduce pollution due to it requiring less energy, it seems the opposite is happening, the amount of light pollution in the world today, when taken from space, has massively gone up since the introduction of LED. Its human nature I think, you find something that works with less energy, so it encourages you to use more of them. What is more important - making our cities pretty, or not wastefully using energy (bah humbug)? I think the photos above borderline on the abusive side.

^ I think they're fine for Christmas. But obviously not as regular installations.

I didn't know that the Scotia tower included LED strips as part of the reno. Looks pretty good. Visible from the drive down 98 ave.

I think the lights are fantastic - in winter with our long nights anyway.

Probably could do more at street level - consider Calgary's Stephen Ave mall at night for instance: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Avenue
